Investing in the Best Program Managers
Citzant knows that the most important factor in successful delivery is a program manager who has years of relevant experience and who has earned our customer's trust. We hire certified Program Management Professionals and seek PMs who have direct experience with the program or system they will oversee. A number of our program managers are former government employees who continue to serve the same agencies for which they previously worked.
Since our customers expect to hire the most highly trained professionals, Citizant strives to ensure that 100% of our employees become certified in relevant functional and industry domains. Staff certifications include Project Management Professional (PMP®), FEAC Institute Federal Enterprise Architect (FEA), DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF), CISSP® security, and other relevant certifications.
Rigorous Program Reviews
We apply the rigorous Citizant Process Management Methodology (CPMM)SM to manage projects from inception to completion. A vital component of our project management approach is our monthly Project Management Reviews (PMRs) of all active projects. PMRs cover contractual items, financial status, schedule/deliverables, personnel & recruiting, technical progress, process adherence, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction. Through these comprehensive reviews, we are able to identify risks and unexpected problems early and resolve issues quickly and proactively.
In addition, Citizant's internal Quality Programs group performs independent quality assurance audits of each program on a regular basis. These process quality experts also coach our PMs on how to tailor and apply our standardized processes to meet specific program and customer requirements.
All of Citizant's management methods and quality inspections support one goal: complete customer satisafction. It's not enough to simply fulfill our contractual commitments. We survey our customers twice a year to create an objective measure of whether we are meeting our customer's expectations. Citizant's senior management team strategically applies additional resources whenever we detect an area where we are failing to delight our customers.
Multi-Model CMMI Maturity Appraisals
Citizant believes strongly in using standardized processes to ensure our performance is repeatable, predictable, and consistent for the benefit of our customers. We also understand that most of our customers have mature, proven processes that ensure standardization and consistency across the agency. Our PMs are trained to leverage and integrate the appropriate elements from our CMMI-based process asset library and our customer's process requirements to create the best possible quality management approach for each program.
Citizant has been independently appraised companywide at the Software Engineering Institute's CMMI ML3-DEV and CMMI ML2-SVC. We undertook this rigorous "multi-constellation" appraisal because our customers have programs that increasingly are hybrid in nature, requiring both software or systems development and business services in the same engagement. Citizant was one of the first companies in any industry to be appraised under the latest SCAMPI guidelines, and is one of only a handful of government service providers to go through a multi-constellation appraisal for both CMMI-DEV and CMMI-SVC within the same business unit.
