Enabling HUD's 5-Year Transformation Initiative (TI) Roadmap

Prime Contractor Citizant provides project management and technical consulting services in support of the HUD OCIO’s development of HUD’s IT/TI Roadmap, Enterprise Service Project Charter and 5-year Expenditure Plan that helped HUD secure $280M in modernization funding. These plans center on leveraging technology across HUD’s enterprisewide mission areas rather than continuing to support stove piped technologies. Citizant restructured the entire IT investment portfolio to align IT projects, systems, and services to target business functions and cross-cutting enterprise services.

Developing International Information Sharing Standards for CBP

Citizant provided continuous services to the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Modernization Support Team for the Customs Modernization Program. Citizant's support to CBP's modernization program included data modeling, business process redesign, and designing and implementing the International Trade Data System (ITDS) repository.

Finding Temporary Housing for Disaster Victims

In response to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Congress mandated HUD create a system that provides a national housing inventory to support the relocation of displaced homeowners. The National Housing Locator System (NHLS), developed by Citizant, supports hundreds of end users representing multiple Federal agencies and state and local first responders.  NHLS retrieves data from 30+ commercial and 4,000+ public housing authorities nationwide and uses GIS technology and Google Maps to depict housing available for people displaced by a disaster/

Applying Lean/Six Sigma to Streamline the IRS Taxpayer Notice Communication Process

Internal Revenue Service has significantly improved service to taxpayers since the Restructuring and Reform Act of 1998. Despite the IRS’s efforts to reduce confusion, complaints and satisfaction surveys indicate that taxpayers still have problems understanding and responding to IRS’s requests. The IRS hired Citizant to analyze and improve taxpayer notification processes using Lean/Six Sigma (LSS).

Comprehensive Business Process Overhaul at CMS

Citizant partnered with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to provide comprehensive Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Business Process Reengineering (BPR) services.  Our efforts supported IT investment decision-making, health policy implementation, and segment architecture development to align with the agency’s mission in ensuring effective, up-to-date health care coverage and promoting quality care for beneficiaries.

Designing a Unified Enterprise Platform for Threat Assessment & Credentialing

The TSA Transportation Threat Assessment and Credentialing office operates in an environment of continuous and ever-changing threats, while subject to continual oversight and scrutiny.  As demonstrated by the Christmas Day bombing attempt, it is imperative to continuously improve and streamline credentialing and vetting practices. Separate programs (SecureFlight, Hazmat, etc.) have evolved individualized chains of command, operating procedures, technical components and capabilities.
