Streamlining Global Defense Logistics & Transportation Financial Management

The Financial and Air Clearance Transportation System (FACTS) provides the DoD air cargo clearance and transportation financial management capabilities in a single automated information system.  Citizant has developed and supported FACTS for more than a decade under contract to the Naval Supply Command.

Finding Temporary Housing for Disaster Victims

In response to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Congress mandated HUD create a system that provides a national housing inventory to support the relocation of displaced homeowners. The National Housing Locator System (NHLS), developed by Citizant, supports hundreds of end users representing multiple Federal agencies and state and local first responders.  NHLS retrieves data from 30+ commercial and 4,000+ public housing authorities nationwide and uses GIS technology and Google Maps to depict housing available for people displaced by a disaster/

Enabling Recovery Act Reporting Compliance & Data Quality at HUD

In support of OMB reporting requirements under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, Citizant provides system life-cycle design, development, deployment, operation, and maintenance services for HUD’s mission-critical Recovery Act Management and Performance System (RAMPS).

Applying Lean/Six Sigma to Streamline the IRS Taxpayer Notice Communication Process

Internal Revenue Service has significantly improved service to taxpayers since the Restructuring and Reform Act of 1998. Despite the IRS’s efforts to reduce confusion, complaints and satisfaction surveys indicate that taxpayers still have problems understanding and responding to IRS’s requests. The IRS hired Citizant to analyze and improve taxpayer notification processes using Lean/Six Sigma (LSS).

Designing a Unified Enterprise Platform for Threat Assessment & Credentialing

The TSA Transportation Threat Assessment and Credentialing office operates in an environment of continuous and ever-changing threats, while subject to continual oversight and scrutiny.  As demonstrated by the Christmas Day bombing attempt, it is imperative to continuously improve and streamline credentialing and vetting practices. Separate programs (SecureFlight, Hazmat, etc.) have evolved individualized chains of command, operating procedures, technical components and capabilities.
