Release Level Technical Support Environment Management Support contract extends Citizant’s consulting for IRS Affordable Care Act and Applications Development programs
CHANTILLY, VA, Sept. 14, 2016 — Citizant, a leading provider of IT and business transformation solutions to the U.S. government, has won a $1.7 million task order to provide Environment Management Support for the Internal Revenue Service’s Release Level Technical Support (RLTS) organization.
The 21-month task order to support the IRS’s Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Applications Development (AD) programs was awarded under the Treasury’s TIPSS-4 Management/Business Operations Support Services (MBOSS) contract vehicle.
Randall Brown, Citizant’s director of Treasury Programs, said, “Citizant’s subject matter experts in Environment Configuration Management have been serving the IRS for many years and are uniquely qualified to continue supporting IRS ACA development and test environments. Going forward, this team will be an essential partner in helping the IRS adopt Agile and DevOps best practices being developed with the IRS by Citizant’s other project teams.”
Citizant will recommend, develop, and improve upon the processes and toolsets used by the RLTS organization to coordinate, document, track, and report hardware and commercial software configuration changes in the ACA/AD server environment. Citizant’s subject matter experts will consult with IRS Enterprise Operations (EOps) about the configuration of server environments that support ACA/AD enterprise software releases.
Citizant is a leading small-business contractor for IT services at the IRS, with particular expertise in ACA application development and integration; Agile transformation and DevOps; and CMMI quality process development, coaching, and appraisal support. Citizant’s Quality Management team recently supported the IRS Applications Development group through its successful CMMI for Development Maturity Level 3 appraisal, which covered a portfolio of approximately 150 projects.
