3rd ISO certification solidifies Citizant’s internal processes, completes the company’s integrated Quality System
CHANTILLY, VA, March 25, 2019 – Citizant, a leading provider of IT modernization and program management services to the U.S. government, has been certified by BSI Group as complying with the information security requirements of ISO 27001:2013.
The ISO 27001 certification combines with Citizant’s existing ISO 9001:2015 for talent acquisition and ISO 20000-1:2011 for service management to comprise Citizant’s Management System. This system gives customers and partners confidence that Citizant achieves high-quality and consistent results in internal operations.
“The ISO 27001 certification for information security is a significant achievement that will deliver new value for our customers, partners, and employees,” said Pamela Schoppert, Citizant’s Director of Quality Programs. “To achieve ISO 20000 and ISO 27001 in the same year on our first attempt is a testament to the drive and professionalism of Citizant’s employees, who strive to do the right things in the right way, every time.”
Citizant also has a CMMI-based “Delivery System” – based on process quality standards from the CMMI Institute – that assures our customers we manage every contractual project at a high level of maturity and quality. The company is independently appraised at CMMI Development Maturity Level 3 (CMMI-DEV ML3) and at CMMI Services Maturity Level 3 (CMMI-SVC ML3). Citizant is also registered as a CMMI Institute Partner, which allows the company to offer CMMI-approved consulting services to other commercial, non-profit, and government organizations.
Citizant joins the relative handful of small government contractors with these three ISO certifications and dual CMMI ML3 ratings. Together, Citizant’s ISO-based Management System and CMMI-based Delivery System have produced stellar results for our customers and yielded high CPARS ratings.
