Citizant widens research and technology support for the Intelligent Transportation System
Chantilly, Va., Sept. 10, 2014 – Citizant, a leading provider of IT management consulting and enterprise software solutions to the U.S. government, has been awarded a contract with the U.S. Dept. of Transportation to provide program integration and management services to the Intelligent Transportation System Joint Program Office (ITS-JPO). The 5-year contract is valued at $8.4 million.
Citizant will leverage its long-standing corporate commitment to program management best practices and experience delivering successful Federal program management office (PMO) and business transformation programs to bring superior management, technical support, and portfolio visualization capabilities to the ITS-JPO.
The ITS-JPO coordinates activities across several USDOT offices to support the advancement of smart vehicles and advanced infrastructure technologies to create an intermodal, intelligent transportation system. Involved offices include the Federal Highway Administration, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Federal Railroad Administration, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and the Maritime Administration.
