Agency recognized for IT Transformation initiative enabled by effective enterprise architecture

CHANTILLY, Va., Nov. 10, 2011The Department of Housing and Urban Development was recognized as an Excellence in Enterprise Architecture Award Winner for 2011 in the category of Leadership in Government Transformation Using EA. The awards program, which was held during the Enterprise Architecture 2011 Conference in McLean, Va., was sponsored by the FEAC™ Institute and 1105 Media.

HUD was chosen for its application of EA as an integrated decision-support tool, setting the blueprints for its ambitious IT transformation initiative. The award highlighted HUD’s use of EA to better manage $140 million of funding to modernize HUD’s IT infrastructure, delivering in six month increments, and IT services to provide new mission capabilities in response to changing market and legislative requirements.
